Dear VW enthusiast,

One year after the triumph of the Race Touareg at the first Dakar Rally held in Argentina and Chile, Volkswagen will face a new sporting challenge with five Race Touaregs competing to bring the trophy home to Wolfsburg once again.

Winner of the last Dakar Rally, Giniel de Villiers and runner up, Mark Miller, together with fellow drivers Carlos Sainz, Nasser Al-Attiyah and Maurício Neves, will pilot the Race Touaregs with their powerful 208kW diesel engines.

With two crossings of the challenging Andes Mountain Range, as well as an extended route through the inhospitable Atacama desert, the 2010 Dakar Rally promises more excitement than ever.

The MyTouareg website contains a wealth of information about the Race Touaregs and the Dakar Rally of 2010. Daily updates with results and comments from the team will begin on 2 January. You can also register now for daily SMS updates to be sent to your cell phone during the Dakar.

Don’t miss out on the action. Visit the MyTouareg website now to read more and register for your daily updates.
